Kate's skills complement those of the other two directors, extending Sheils Flynn's depth and range of work. She has worked on numerous landscape planning and policy studies and has prepared landscape assessments, development capacity studies and design guidance throughout the UK,. Recent work includes a bid to the HLF for a major landscape restoration project at Hubbards Hills, Louth, a feasibility study for the design of 'gateways' to Downham Market and environmental scoping studies for new development sites.

Kate enjoys presenting evidence on landscape issues at public inquiry and was recently an expert witness on behalf of the Countryside Agency at the New Forest National Park public inquiry. Kate has a clear written style and is the author of many published reports. She regularly designs and facilitates workshops to consult on design proposals, present new policies and develop good practice.
