Shepherds Bush Common, London - The elements of water, light, play, cinema, meadow, paving, seating and shade trees are integrated with a series of dynamic and highly interactive contemporary artworks. Third place in a national design competition for this major urban gateway space.

Omagh Bomb Memorial, Northern Ireland - An angular shard of local granite marking the site of the 1998 Omagh explosion is a far flung component of the oval of Memorial stones in the Memorial Garden nearby. Sheils Flynn's entry was runner up.

Maghtab Park, Malta - The transformation of Malta’s massive redundant landfill – ‘Mount Maghtab’ - into a public park. Sheils Flynn’s entry (third place) encourages people to reflect on the themes of recycling, healing and restoration; it confronts visitors with the reality of the landfill’s origin and the potential for sustainability.

Garden Of Hope, Bali - A masterplan for the Nusa Dua islands which was runner up in an international competition. The design is an expression of the Balinese experience of landscape. It provides a stunning sequence of spaces for contemplation, as well as an internet ‘chatroom’ which acts as a catalyst for global conversation.

Nar Ouse Regeneration, UK - Sheils Flynn won a national design competition for a landscape-led masterplan which is transforming a blighted former industrial site into a new gateway to King’s Lynn with a range of mixed use developments including new parks, open spaces and roads.
